Welcome to our website everyone and since its the first time we’ve created a website….you’ll have to bear with us.  This is our homepage, which is what you will see when you come to our site looking for information about our upcoming wedding on Saturday, July 06th, 2019.  We have sent out the invitations to you and if you’ve visited this website then I know you’ve received the invitation!  The web address is on the back of the invitation. Please take the time to send back your RSVP so we know you’re coming.

We are very excited to seeing each of you and if by chance you have stumbled across this website, please drop us a line to tell us if we’re missing anything.  My email and Beth’s address are listed at the bottom of the website.

Accommodation Details

Hotel arrangements  have been made for our wedding under Lariviere / Culina wedding by calling 1-800-SANDMAN to make your reservations and refer to group code #20815.  We have been told that the front desk will send you the email confirmations when you make them.

Hello Everyone! We are hoping to provide you with information and details about our upcoming wedding.  We’ll be providing you with information about the wedding (tentatively being reserved at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington Ontario, we’ll keep you posted about that,  pictures, and the reception at the Croatian Centre in Stoney Creek.

We have discussed how we wanted to host the reception at the Croatian Centre.  We are hoping to have everyone arrive around 6:00 p.m. with our supper to begin around 7:00 p.m.

You will also notice that our table settings have a music related theme because Beth and I love, love, love all kinds of music.  I have to share with you that I am stuck in the ’70’s and Beth really does love all types of old and new music.  You will see she knows every verse to every song !!!  If you don’t believe me watch how she sings out the verses to the songs throughout the night. I think you’ll be surprised.

The wedding party will be arriving and greeting all our guests around 6:30 p.m.  The meal will be served Croatian family style which means platters with each of the courses will be placed on each table just like you would experience in true Croatian style at home.  The food will continue until you are full and if you still need more, all you have to do is ask!!  We are trying to keep to the family style theme and we hope you will enjoy it. 

There is no cost for the food and no cost for the drinks throughout the night.  THIS IS NOT A CASH BAR!!!  But we hope you will drink responsibly.

Overall Itinerary

We thought about where the best place would be to have our special day and what better place to have it then under a tent at the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) in Burlington, Ontario. We all love flowers and no one does it better than the RGB. Once you get to RGB, you can park near the main building and go through the tunnel across the street and look for directions to the Cherry Hill Tent. It is only a few minutes from the parking lot and there are a number of signs to help you find us.

Sunday, July 07th, 2019

10:00 am – Breakfast at Denny’s attached to the Sandman Hotel, Stoney Creek, Ontario. Oh and you will get a $10.00 discount per room for breakfast on Sunday morning before everyone heads out. We spoke to the Denny’s manager and she said that if we are interested in all having breakfast at 10:00am on Sunday to let them know. So please let me know if you’ll be coming with us to breakfast on the Sunday.

We are planning a little get together on Friday, July 5th, 2019 at our house to get everyone acquainted with each other offer some refreshments and light snacks for those coming in to spend our special wedding day with us. If you are interested we’re asking everyone arrive after 4:00pm. We’re going to simply have some food and drinks available.

For those of you who may not be familiar with Hamilton Ontario,  the Sandman Hotel and the Croatian Centre are located about 7 km from each other.  The Sandman hotel is near the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) freeway and Centennial Blvd.  If you continue south on Centennial Blvd (away from the water) to the top of the mountain you will reach Mountain View Road,  and you’ll then be about 2 minutes from the Croatian Centre. You drive past a Drive-In Theatre on the right.  A stop sign and the the entrance on the right about 1/8th of a mile.

This section is really for the out-of-town travellers. You probably won’t spend your whole visit cooped up in your hotel room and we wanted to give you some pointers on where you could eat, what you should be seeing and how you could be getting around. Traffic Delays (NEW)

Just for an update, the Red Hill Valley Parkway, a highway going from the Sandman Hotel to the Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG), is closed going southbound for construction until the middle of July. Please be aware of this and when going from the Sandman to the RBG take the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) east over the Burlington Skyway Bridge to the 403 Westbound. Take the Waterdown exit from the 403 and head south on Waterdown Road and then right onto Plains Road to the RGB. That is the fastest way to get there. You may want to use your GPS to guide you! If you are staying in other hotels in the area please avoid the Red Hill Valley Southbound because it is closed. Shuttle Service from the Sandman Hotel to the Croatian Centre (NEW)

We have made arrangements for anyone staying at the Sandman Hotel to use a limo shuttle service to the Croatian Centre from 5:30pm until 6:30pm. Pickup will be at the front of the Sandman Hotel only during those times. We will also be offering a late night shuttle service back and forth from the Croatian Centre (Front Doors) to the Sandman Hotel between 12:00am and 2:00am. It takes approximately 10 minutes to the hotel. So please use the service if you plan on enjoying yourself during the evening.†
